There are 3 nonfiction reading passages with 6 questions each. Passages are medium-size (1 page, 2-sided), with about 8-10 paragraphs each and a real-life picture to go along with it. Focus questions are multiple choice and perfect practice for STAAR testing. Targeted questions are detailed below:

1) Details (3.9Di, 4.9Di, 5.9Di)

2) Context clues (3.3B, 4.3B, 5.3B)

3) Author's purpose (3.10A, 4.10A, 5.10B)

4) Inference (3.6F, 4.6F, 5.6F)

5) Text Features (3.9Dii, 4.9Dii, 5.9Dii)

Each passage has at least one question of each targeted skill previously mentioned, but one skill is assessed twice. Instead of 5 questions per passage, you'll find 6. Therefore, you will have two passages with 1 extra question for Author's Purpose and one passage with 1 extra question targeting context clues.

• Pequenas constructoras
