Where to find Gato con botas: el último deseo?

  • You can find the 2022 movie Puss in Boots 2 on DVD, Youtube, Amazon & Peacock. Check your local public library for a free rental! *Check what audio & subtitles are included before purchasing or renting*
  • Please note this resource is for the 2022 Puss in Boots 2, not the 2011 film or Netflix series.
  • It has a run time of 100 minutes - great for a sub plan for 2-3 typical class periods with the film & guide.

What is Puss in Boots: The Last Wish rated & what ages is it appropriate for?

  • The movie Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is rated PG.
  • I took my own 6 year old to the film in the theater & he loved it. As a teacher I would play it in 3rd-12th grade. (There is a scary wolf & some rude words, which is why I would not use it younger than that in class).
  • Gato con botas: el último deseo would be perfect for Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3, Spanish 4, exploratory Spanish, or a Latin American culture class. The differentiated options mean you could use variations of this one Puss in Boots guide with all levels you teach.

What audio and subtitles should I use for Gato con Botas 2?

*Check what audio & subtitles are included before purchasing or renting* Most DVDs have both Spanish & English, but many online rentals (Youtube/Prime) are English only.

As always, do what works best for your classes. Here is what I personally do:

  • Spanish audio & Spanish subtitles - upper-level students
  • Spanish audio & English subtitles - novice level students
  • English audio - exploratory Spanish or culture class

This is an editable Google Drive resource!
