Sounds vs Letters-Christmas

Students count the number of letters in each Christmas word and, using the +text feature in Book Creator, write that number in the letters column to the left. Then they segment and count the sounds in each word and write that number in the column to the right. Teaches children to differentiate between the number of letters in a word versus the number of sounds in a word. Completed activities can be saved in individual Book Creator books as part of a student portfolio.
