Snowflake Mosaic (K-1) & Snowman Puzzle (Grades 2-4) 2 Lessons & Templates

This Lesson contains two different Winter Activities;

1. The Snowflake Mosaic (Great for K-1st Graders)

2. Snowman classroom puzzle mural (Great for 2nd-4th Graders)

This fun Snowflake Mosaic Lesson takes around 30 minutes if the Kinders focus or can be stretched out longer by reading the beautiful picture book Snowflake Bentley as an introduction to the lesson instead of while they are working. They will learn that snowflakes have 6 symmetrical sides like a hexagon and they are all different.

This gorgeous Snowman classroom puzzle is great for 2-4th Graders. Each student contributes to the overall winter snowman pattern. Students design their own snowman face and hat and then practice making color VALUES by coloring dark and light. This can be finished in about one 45 minute class period if they focus.

Both look great to display.
