Texas has created new rubrics to grade the Extended Constructed Response (ECR) and Short Constructed Response (SCR) on the RLA STTAR in grades 3-8! This product makes grading easier on YOU, and it allows students to self-reflect in a way they can understand.
In the classroom, this product can be used in a variety of ways. The student-friendly language and emojis give kids a better understanding of the demands of an extended constructed response. Students can self-reflect on their own compositions, or they can use these templates for peer review!
The teacher versions make for easy grading and can be easily attached to students’ essays/short-constructed responses! They provide a spot for quick notes and a clear grading scale. These are wonderful feedback tools that help your students know how to improve their writing! I have included two versions of the ECR teacher rubric if you would like to make your own grading scale.
