Rhythm Makers Guided Composition Activity: Spring Set

This Rhythm Makers worksheet set is perfect for helping younger students improve their rhythmic literacy and beginning composition skills. This resource works great for centers or as a quick assessment, and could easily be done individually or in pairs for students who need a bit more support.

Students will first determine how many beats each rhythmic phrase contains, and then use those phrases to compose a rhythm of their own! There are four versions of this activity included with different rhythms and notation styles (traditional and stick) to make it accessible to multiple grade levels.
