Reader's Theater: Comparing the Continental Drift and Plate Tectonic Theory
In this reader's theater, based on a talk show theme, Alfred Wegener and current scientists come to discuss/sing their theories of crustal movement.
Alfred sings a song based on Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off." The Plate Tectonic Song is based around LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem."
If you're not a music teacher, don't worry! Your students will love singing and teaching you the songs. Trust me! Also included is a link to recordings of me singing the songs, which you can listen to to get the tune or share with your class.
Directions for this activity are included.
Looking for a different reader's theater topic? Check out Rosalind Flynn's TPT site for a multitude of creative scripts! While there, check out her book too: DRAMATIZING THE CONTENT WITH CURRICULUM-BASED READERS THEATRE.
Happy acting!
