    Description

SAVE 30% This bundle includes two radio plays, appropriate for upper middle
and high school. This is my best suggestion for needing differentiation in your classroom. Plus, I have given you the unit I use when teaching radio theater! Strengthen students' reading, speaking and listening skills by using radio theater plays. Note: Each radio play can be purchased separately, too!

    Each product includes:

    • letter for the teacher
    • the rationale for teaching radio theater
    • a brief biography about the original author (Shelley and Jacobs)
    • an original radio play written by an award-winning author, me!
    • two radio play scripts (average 25 pages in length)

    • sound effects list and how to create the sounds
    • music suggestions with live links to music

These plays are royalty-free! Perform them for the school, a parent open house or the end of the semester. You can spend one-day studying radio theater or several days. Either way, they are ready to go--just copy and start in on the fun!

    The Canterville Ghost Radio Play

"We had a ton of fun with this resource. Our students especially enjoyed learning about sound effects and how to make them. The students loved the recording process, though not the rehearsal process so much. As a teacher, I appreciated all they learned, not only about radio drama and radio history, but also about acting, using only their voice to communicate, and simply working together in general. As a bonus, our local radio station allowed us to come and tour the studio and explain how the station works. Overall, this is an amazing resource that I highly recommend. I would also highly recommend reading the packet all the way through (just like we tell our students), as there were many things I missed the first time through because I thought I knew what I was getting into (afterall, how hard can this be!?). I learned a ton myself about radio theater and how to teach it. Great experience. Great product."
