Description

This is a 39 page flipchart using Activinspire software. You can use this flipchart with your Promethean or SmartBoard IF you have Activinspire software loaded on your computer/laptop. If not, you will not be able to open or use this resources. This is a 1 39 page interactive flipchart that takes care of the objectives RI5.6, RI5.7 and RI5.9 which are expository text common core objectives: integrating information using multiple sources, using sources to quickly find an answer, and using web sources as well as text sources. I have also incorporated social studies objectives with the timeline of U.S. history and major wars as students read and inquire into The Civil War and The Underground Railroad. This flipchart includes many weblinks to videos and sites to help out. The kids will love it! It easily explains why you should use multiple sources, how to tell if a source is reliable, how to site your source, how to research, paraphrase, and includes two assessment opportunities. One is writing knowledgeably about the Civil War after using multiple sources and the other is a small group project with researching and teaching about The Underground Railroad. This flipchart is labeled with Week 1, Day 1, Day 2 etc. It's already mapped out for you! Easy and fun. Would work perfectly with 4, 5, or 6th grades.
