What educators are saying

I am quite certain I will purchase every item in your store. This was amazing and of the highest quality. This particular purchase helped a great deal with end of year unit planning.
This was a great product, and exactly what I was looking for. My students absolutely loved this. Thank you!

Description

Project Based Learning: Discovery in the Rainforest! This project based learning (PBL) activity joins together Science, Math, ELA, Social Studies, and Technology.

This project integrates elements of science, math, ELA, social studies, ELA, and technology into a student-made product. It will combine student imagination, creativity, and problem solving skills as they travel through a rainforest.

There are 15 activities (1 page for each) for students to complete. Each page involves a problem or idea they must solve, recreate, or answer. Pages can vary from writing, math, map skills, real-world application, and problem solving.

There is a link to a Google Slides Version. Details below.

*This resource can be used for distance learning and e-learning.*

As students work through each page of the project, they will make their own decisions and choose the outcomes. By the end, all students will have completed the project, but each version will be based on user imagination, creativity, and knowledge base.

All pages can be geared towards multiple grade levels, although for some younger students the teacher may need to give more explicit instructions.

Students may choose to use textbooks, maps, computers, the Internet, and more to complete each page. They might even choose to work with a partner, but ultimately the choice is yours (as the teacher).

There are 18 printable pages. Hand them out one at a time or staple them all together at once. Choose whichever way works best in your classroom.

Pages include:

-The Expedition:

Informational page where students are asked to travel to a rainforest.

-Pack your bags: Writing

Students pick 8 items they will need on their trip (and tell why).

-What do you know: Science, Critical Thinking

A page to activate prior knowledge about jungles/rainforests.

-A Rainforest World: Social Studies, Map Skills

Students identify where rainforests are located on a world map.

-Jungle Supplies: Math

Students have a budget to buy supplies for their trip.

-Animal App: Technology

Forestagram: Technology, Social Media
