Description

Practicing probability concepts just got more engaging (and easy to plan!) with these color by number print and digital activities.

  • Students solve 15 or 20 probability problems, find the solution on the coloring sheet and then color!

Check out the Preview and video demo above to see what's included and how the digital version works.

These probability problems require students to:

  • Decide if events are likely, as likely as not, or unlikely (two questions in each version)
  • Find the theoretical probabilities of events
  • Express probabilities as fractions
  • Express probability as a percent(one question in each version)
  • Find the number of possible outcomes in a sample space

In this easy-prep probability resource you get a PDF with:

1) Two Print versions

Version A:

  • Problem sheet with 20 probability questions
  • Coloring sheet

Version B:

  • Problem sheet with 15 questions (similar types of questions to Version A)
  • Coloring sheet (a little less detailed than Version A)

2) Link to one Google Slides version (can be used with PowerPoint)

  • Same problems and mostly same coloring as Version B
  • Students type their answers in the answer boxes
  • Students use the ‘Fill color’ bucket to color the shapes
  • Questions are not editable (they are in the background) but the shapes and numbers in the pattern ARE movable.)

3) Two coloring pages with no numbers, for students to color their own way, for fun:-)

A few things teachers are saying about this resource (more reviews below):

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "My students really enjoyed this resource. It was really good for extending some of my students but also was enough for me to use to support my students who weren't understanding the concept. "

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ "I used this to help review the material for the state test."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Really liked how it showed using fractions & percent for probability."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “I love the color by number activities - they are easy to grade at a glance yet the students work hard to complete them correctly.”

Standards

Understand that the probability of a chance event is a number between 0 and 1 that expresses the likelihood of the event occurring. Larger numbers indicate greater likelihood. A probability near 0 indicates an unlikely event, a probability around 1/2 indicates an event that is neither unlikely nor likely, and a probability near 1 indicates a likely event.
Find probabilities of compound events using organized lists, tables, tree diagrams, and simulation.
Understand that, just as with simple events, the probability of a compound event is the fraction of outcomes in the sample space for which the compound event occurs.
Represent sample spaces for compound events using methods such as organized lists, tables and tree diagrams. For an event described in everyday language (e.g., “rolling double sixes”), identify the outcomes in the sample space which compose the event.
