About the All-in-One Reading Passages
I created these All-in-One Reading Passages for my first grade classroom after realizing I was in need of phonics-focused stories that would engage my students. I incorporated reading comprehension questions because we all know that decoding without comprehending is meaningless. For fluency practice, you will find three happy faces at the bottom right of the passages. These faces can be colored or checked each time the student reads.
I’ve used these passages during guided reading groups, to introduce and review phonics skills, as a cold read, for comprehension practice, for homework, and even as an assessment. With so many skills and so many opportunities to use these reading passages, they are truly All-in-One. I know you will find them as useful in your classroom as I have in mine!
