What educators are saying

This is a great material to use when giving my students independent activities to supplement their direct instruction.
Such a perfect resource to use while teaching over zoom. So helpful with pacing as students can work at their own pace without feeling pressured to speed up and without feeling like they are being slowed down

NOTE: This resource uses American English and is not editable.

Students will need to read carefully as several of these cards are tricky! In some cases the POV is not revealed until the end of the paragraph and in others, students must know that if a character states a feeling or thought, it is still third person – limited, not omniscient.

Teacher Tip

Here’s what teachers are saying:

✏️ "VERY helpful review when we flipped quickly to remote learning! These are engaging and differentiated. Thank you so much!" -Michelle C.

✏️ "My sixth grade students really enjoyed the task cards. They can be used independently, whole class, or as a station rotation. Their understanding of point of view greatly improved." -Amy C.

✏️ "My students loved being to get up out of their seats to complete this activity! I began by teaching POV, and then I had these task cards placed throughout the room. I put the students in groups and let them determine the POV together. They loved it, and it was super easy to set up and check for understanding!" -Jill B.
