This resource is for you if you are:

    ❤️ A classroom teacher

❤️ An intervention teacher running groups for reading

❤️ Looking for something your Para or Educational Assistant can use when working with students.

❤️ Looking for a resource that helps parents help their kids with phonemic awareness skills.

❤️ Having volunteers work with children

All your Phonemic Word Lists questions answered!

✅How do I use these cards?

Print the cards covering 17 skills and place them on a ring, and you are ready to start. Place the rings of cards around your classroom for easy access.

✅How can I teach phonemic awareness with only a few minutes each day?

The word list cards are perfect for when you have a few minutes to fill. Use them when waiting in lines for lunch, recess or before leaving for specials. Use them to dismiss students - they must give a rhyming word or blend a word you segment before they can go. They are also perfect for a warm-up during direct instruction at the guided reading table or during shared reading.

✅Why are these the word lists I need?

They will make your instruction EASIER! Determine the skill you want to work on and grab that ring, and you are equipped with a ready-to-use list of words for that skill.

✅But wait, what about adults who support my students? Can they use them?

YES!!! All instructions are included right on the cards, which makes them perfect for volunteers and parents.

The word lists address the following phonemic awareness skills:
