Description

Higher Level Thinking Fiction and Informational Questions to Ask Your Child Bookmark

- During parent teacher conferences, I have struggled with which resources to distribute to my above level readers. This resource has answered that question. Many parents no longer "check in" with their child after they become independent readers and as a result may not be aware of potential comprehension problems. This handy bookmark includes over 30 higher level thinking questions (both fiction and nonfiction) for parents to ask their above level readers.

My parents have been very appreciative of this resource and many have stated that they did not know which types of questions to ask their child.

The bookmark also reminds parents to encourage their child to return to the text to support their responses (as per the requirements of Close Reading).

Directions: Fold in half to create bookmark and laminate for greater durability.
Includes both a color and black and white version of th same questions.

Tip- I also leave a copy of this bookmark along with a picture book for instant emergency substitute plans. :)
- Also perfect for end of grade test prep to develop inferential thinking skills.

Thanks from RealReadingRemedies. :)
