What educators are saying
Love this picture dictionary. I first teach my students how to use it during small group instruction. Once they have mastered using it, it is a resource they use independently or in their small group.
I love this resource. The kids have these pages in their writing folder and use it when they are unsure of how to spell a word. They especially enjoy the pictures.
Description
This picture spelling dictionary was made to be a resource to kindergarten, first, and second graders during writing. My class is made up of mostly English Language Learners, and this spelling dictionary has become a great tool for them. This file contains a full color dictionary as well as a black and white (blackline) dictionary for easier copying.
Having this dictionary in the desk of each of my students has nearly eliminated students asking how to spell common nouns. There are spaces for students to write in words that may not be included in the list (names of friends, pets, etc.).
