    Description

    In this amazing bundle you will be given 10 different week-long projects/units to help your students see and discover the real-world application of music in the career industry! This bundle includes the following 10 projects/units:

    1) Introduction to Music Career Unit:

    This engaging unit is a perfect way to provide real-world applications to the music classroom. This unit will teach your students loads of information about various music careers including video examples, pictures, salaries, lifestyles and more. This a great unit to get your students excited about music and its place in the real world and how many different and creative jobs are created through music! This unit includes four 50-minute presentations, a jeopardy review game, an assessment and answer keys!

    2) Foley/Sound Effects Creation Project:

    This exciting project is a really cool way to introduce your students to the artistry of foley and sound effects used in film. In this project, they will watch countless examples of foley in real time, learn all about the art, and then spend a few class periods creating their own foley sound effects! This project comes with presentations. In these presentations there are loads of video examples, higher order thinking questions, common foley tricks and instructions for the foley project portion of this unit. It also comes with a unit description, answers in the speaker notes, a playlist of animated films 20-30 seconds perfect for foley sounds and a “common foley sounds” worksheet for student use.

    3) Music Website Creation Project:

    This project is a great opportunity for your students to combine graphic design skills with music research in a manner that is interesting and meaningful to them. In this project students will be using Google Sites to create a mock website for a music artist they research. They will complete a research guide and then compile their website. This project comes with a presentation introducing the lesson, tutorials on google sites, a student research guide,  a sample research guide and sample google site and a project description. This is a fun interactive project that is sure to engage your students and create learning that is meaningful to them!

    4)Jingle Writer- Music Creation Project:

    Let your students try their hand at one of the careers available in the music industry- Jingle Writing! In this partner project (can be adapted for individual or group) students will discover the details of writing musical jingles for company products. They will explore different examples and then be tasked with composing their own jingle and presenting a live 30 second infomercial for the class where they present/play their jingle at the end. This project comes with an editable google slide outlining all the necessary information for your students, an ideas worksheet, and a project description. 

    5) Music Teacher- Music Lesson Creation Project:

    Let your students step into the role of a teacher with this engaging, higher order thinking project! This project is a wonderful way to combine music research, your students passion and career readiness into one immersive and engaging project. In this project, your students will be tasked with creating their own 10 minute music lesson as if they were going to teach it to a group of students. Students can actually teach their lesson or simply submit a lesson! This project comes with an editable google slide outline all the necessary information for your students, a CANVA tips and tricks guide, and a project description.

    6) Album Cover Artist Project:

    This project is a wonderful way to combine music, research, and artistic expression. In this project, students will use CANVA or paper and pencils/markers to create their own album cover. In this project, students will briefly study some of the most famous, school appropriate album covers and discover the process into making one themselves. They will learn how the album cover must be a reflection of the album itself, They will then get a chance to research their own album and design a cover for it. This unit comes with an introductory presentation, a CANVA tricks and tips guide for student use and a project description. There is also an extension activity for any students that finish early!

    7) Ethnomusicologist- Music Culture Research Project:

    This project is a great opportunity for your students to learn about music from different cultures, explore new parts of the world, discover new instruments and ways of making music and more. This project is a fun and exciting way for students to work in a group or independently and take control of their own learning while meeting both music and social studies standards. This project includes a google slide presentation and a research guide handout to keep students organized in their research.

    8) Music Article Writing Project:

    This project is a great opportunity for your students to combine their music, ELA and Social Studies skills in one research-based project! In this project, students will get to choose from an extensive list of famous, historical musical events, conduct research and create an article based off of this list using Adobe Express. This project is a great way to enhance your students ability to conduct research, craft an article, hone their writing skills all while studying an important historical, musical event! In this project there is a google slide presentation, a sample, a research guide and a project description!

    9) Music Creative Director Project:

    Let your students step into the role of a creative director with this engaging, art supportive project. This project is a wonderful way to combine music with art and graphic design. IN this project students will serve as a creative director for a music artist and will be tasked with creating three design elements for their artist: a t-shirt design, an artist logo and a poster for your artist. This project comes with an editable google slide outline all the necessary information for your students  and a project description.

    10) Becoming a Music Podcaster Project:

    This project is a great opportunity for your students to research and form opinions on music topics they are passionate about, while becoming familiar with the artistry of podcasting! In this project, students will research a music topic of their choosing, form opinions, and present their opinions in a podcast format. This product comes with TWO versions of this project- one that requires a laptop, and one that does not where students present a LIVE version of their podcast to the class! This project includes two google slide presentations that introduce the project, a research companion sheet, video examples of how to use recording sites, informative videos and more, a sample project, and a sample google student template for students to have a copy of and edit!
