Meme Activity for Icebreaker, Literature, History, Careers, Sociology

What is a meme? Students will no doubt know exactly what a meme is, but probably have a hard time defining one. This bundle includes a 55-slide presentation that breaks down memes and prompts them to create their own. Students are provided with "What People Think I Do/What I Really Do" templates and prompts. (See links below for additional templates.)

It's a perfect project for a getting-to-know-you first-day icebreaker. In addition, I included several other activities so you can utilize this resource throughout the year. Do it for a character or historical-figure study, a career exploration research project, and/or a sociology research project looking at stereotypes.
