Median, Mode, Mean, Range Riddle Card Challenge (Song Included!)

This product is a must for the beginning of the year (to be reused at any point during the year) for any late elementary or middle school classroom. It is the ultimate remedy for the “Wait a minute; which one was the middle number again, mean or median?” scenario. This product is identical to the Median, Mode, Mean, Range Riddle Card Challenge! product, but also includes the lyrics, sheet music, and video file for the original "Medmid-momo-meav-rabism" song, a true crowd favorite with elementary and middle school students.

The downloadable zip file consists of:

- A PDF file with 20 reusable “What numbers are we?” cards that can be easily laminated, cut up, and distributed to students to play a who-can-get-the-most-correct-answers game. Also provided in this file are instructions to the students, the definition of the key words used on the cards, an answer sheet to record answers and any necessary work, and an answer key for teacher use. Cards start with easy-to-solve clues and move to more challenging clues that stimulate critical thinking. The lyrics to the original "Medmid-momo-meav-rabism" song are also in this PDF file.

- A second PDF file that contains the sheet music along with the lyrics to the "Medmid-momo-meav-rabism" song and can be reproduced for those who can read music or want to play the song on a musical instrument.

- An mpg video file. In this video, the “Math Rocker” (an unknown who is obviously still trying to break into the math rock business!) sings the “Medmid-momo-meav-rabism” song. You can use this video simply to learn the tune yourself (recommended – it is best if YOU sing the song with your students!), or to show it to your students and then discuss the key points with them.
