Description

Math Exit Slips are a great way to check for understanding and quickly assess new concepts and skills. These formative assessments are easy to prep, assign, and grade. Best of all, they are designed to keep students from feeling overwhelmed, while giving teachers all the info they need to plan, review, and group students as needed.

This resource includes math exit slips for all of the 4th grade Common Core Math standards. These formative assessments are perfect for quickly assessing student understanding of new concepts and skills.

  • 3 versions are available for each skill, so that you can reassess as needed.
  • Each exit slip contains only 1 to 6 items, depending on the skill, making it quick and easy to check for understanding.
  • There are 3 exit slips per sheet, allowing you to save paper. Copy one sheet for every 3 students.
  • A student-friendly rating scale is included on each slip to allow students to assess their level of understanding.
  • Answer key is included.

Here’s what teachers just like you are saying about this resource:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Makenzie R. says, “I love this product so much! Super simple way to check if students understand the concepts! I even love how the students can rate how they feel about it. What is even better, there is 3 exit tickets of each skill so you can reassess if needed! Wonderful resource!”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stevie C. says, “I'm obsessed with these! We use these for our homework in grades 2-5 and choose skills that we've already worked on, but could be reviewed. Love the set up of them, how much information is on them for the teacher and how it is such a quick check in for kids. Very well done!”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Holly R. says, “This has been a fantastic resource to check in with my students each lesson to see how they're doing!  Easy, quick!  I love that they get to assess how they feel as well, and that there are multiple tickets for each skill!”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Esmeralda H. says, “LOVE THEM SO MUCH! Thank you for creating this resource. I began using them last week and it was awesome to get students' feedback right away. I was able to plan my small group instruction to be skill specific.”

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Solve problems involving addition and subtraction of fractions by using information presented in line plots. For example, from a line plot find and interpret the difference in length between the longest and shortest specimens in an insect collection.
Recognize angles as geometric shapes that are formed wherever two rays share a common endpoint, and understand concepts of angle measurement:
