Description
Includes 5 interactive PBL Units that are great for late elementary, middle, and high school music students. These units can fill at least 5 months of work!
Instruments of the Orchestra Unit: students learn about instruments in the orchestra and then create a research project based upon an instrument of choice.
Movie Music Unit: Listening, Analysis, & Composition: students learn about music in film, analyze pieces of music from film using a listening log, and create their own movie music composition using Chrome Music Lab.
Pop Song Composition Unit: students learn about pop music composition with a listening log, write their own lyrics based on a topic of choice, create a melody/chord structure, and perform or record their work!
Rap Music Composition Unit: students learn about rap music composition with a listening log, write their own lyrics based on a topic of choice, choose an instrumental track or create their own, and perform or record their work!
Sound Science Experiment: students learn about the science behind pitch in music and create a science experiment using water glasses. Once they have created several different pitches, they can try playing a familiar melody or compose their own with the glasses.
