What educators are saying

I used this for my technology group and was able to edit it for my inclusion students. This is a great resource and ties with CC standards.
I run an after school math club for 4th and 5th graders. They love a challenge, and were really engaged with the different levels of logic puzzles! The clues were well though out, and they had a great time collaborating as teams to solve the problems.

Description

These four logic puzzle grids will keep kids engaged while reviewing important math skills! With four levels of difficulty to choose from, you will have options to challenge your high-fliers while making sure everyone is able to be successful.

The challenge is to figure out how many books each student read for a Read-A-Thon, and for the more difficult versions, you are also asked to figure out which genre each student read. The clues incorporate the need to have a firm understanding of factors, prime and composite numbers. While this is a 4th grade math standard, this activity is challenging enough to use with 5th or 6th graders and is a great review of the math terms and concepts.

All four puzzles are included in both digital and printable versions. The digital versions will require students to have their own Google Drives™. The Google Slides™ app will also be required if your class will use tablets to complete the activity. A detailed answer key is available for each puzzle. There are also links to step-by-step solution videos on YouTube!
