Description

THIS GAME INCLUDES 3 CREATIVE ESCAPE ROOM STYLE CHALLENGES :

☘️ 1. Find all 8 beautiful jewels before the leprechaun does!

☘️ 2. Find all 6 missing colors to build the rainbow and slide to the pot of gold!

☘️ 3. Find all 10 of the 4-leaf clovers & the leprechaun will grant you a wish!

I like to do one challenge/day for 3 days during our morning meeting. Every time they play, students are getting practice with handwriting, letter identification, teamwork, problem solving, and of course - having FUN!

❤️ HOW TO PLAY:

1. Choose a challenge to work on today. This makes it exciting!

2. Kids all write their letters from A to Z on the provided page (more info below on 4 differentiated options included). It's no prep... just print and go and it makes for AWESOME, highly motivated practice! You can work on capital or lowercase letters, with or without handwriting lines, etc.

3. Display the interactive game board on Google Slides. It shows all the letters they just practiced writing. Call on students to take a turn choosing a letter (or you could have them call out a sound!). Everyone crosses that letter off on their paper (so we know we used it and don't choose it again). Click on the letter and it reveals something that was hiding underneath!! Oh, my! Is it something we need for today's challenge?

4. Keep clicking on letters and crossing them out until you've completed today's challenge! Kids LOVE it!!! And so do teachers! In fact, the reason I made this leprechaun challenge is because so many teachers loved the gingerbread version of this game (where we work on #s from 1-24) and they begged me to make another one! So here it is! :)

❤️ DIFFERENTIATED RECORDING SHEETS :

Each challenge comes with 4 recording sheets where kids will have the letter from A to Z. You can choose whether they work on CAPITAL or lowercase letters for each challenge. I like to do capital one day, lowercase one day, and either for the third day.

Page options for EVERY CHALLENGE include:

  • Blank: Kids write their own letters from A to Z with no guidance or lines.
  • Traceable Lines: Kids trace the letters. There is a dot on each letter to tell them where to start. No handwriting lines.
  • Traceable WITH Handwriting Lines: Kids trace letters on the handwriting lines. A dot tells them where to start each letter.
  • Pre-printed Letters: For kids who are working on Letter ID. No letter writing required... they'll just cross the letters out as the challenge is played.

Note: The handwriting style for these is what you see pictured in the preview.
