Description

This kitchen lab procedures crossword puzzle is a fun and engaging way to help food and nutrition students learn the expectations and rules of the kitchen when cooking. You can use this crossword puzzle to quiz them or as a way for them to take notes while teaching them your lab procedures.

Answer key included!

Crossword Puzzle includes:

  • You must wash your hands before you start cooking
  • If you have a cut, you must wear gloves the entire time cooking
  • Tie back long hair while cooking
  • Use equipment in the way it's designed to be used.
  • Turn pan handles toward the middle of the stovetop
  • You may not leave class til your kitchen is clean
  • Clean well or we will have ants and mice
  • Read the entire recipe before beginning to cook
  • If taste testing foods, use a clean spoon and use it only once
  • Wash your hands with warm water and soap
  • If you touch your face you must wash your hands again
  • Roll your sleeves up while cooking if they're long
  • Keep electric appliances away from water
  • Be helpful to your group and don't bug or harm other students.
  • Do not sit on counters
  • Use a hot pad/oven mitt to remove hot pans from the oven
