What educators are saying

Great resource that goes beyond just basic signs. I use them myself and have shared them with parents.

Description

October 14, 2017: THIS UNIT WAS UPDATED! PLEASE RE DOWNLOAD IF PURCHASED PREVIOUSLY.

This document is wonderful for training children and their parents on how to do and read early signs. All of the signs are illustrated and explained to the audience clearly and with pictures of children performing the actual sign. Once a child learns these early signs to communicate, their frustration with communication difficulties reduces greatly. They are a wonderful addition to a total early speech therapy training and elicitation program and Shanda and I both seen the benefits of teaching our non-verbal and nearly non-verbal apraxic students sign language many times over!

Please see page two of the preview which lists all the signs in this unit.

Signing can help children communicate when their verbalizations are limited and can become an essential part of a speech and language therapy program for the young speech student.

This program will provide you with the most appropriate signs to teach early on and will also give you colorful pictures of actual children demonstrating how they are done next to the words on how to produce them. In addition, each page can be printed off for at home practice as the sign is taught.

ATTENTION: Please know that these signs also appear in our Early Intervention Handouts. Do not buy this unit if you have and/or plan to buy that product in order to avoid duplication of the presented pictures. Thanks so much! Here's a link to the above mentioned product:
