Teachers will love the step-by-step directions and journal layout. A food science lab always keeps students engaged. This activity is excellent for science fairs, classrooms, clubs, and science camps.
Storybook Connection: Before performing the unit, read "Grandma's Chocolate / El Chocolate De Abuelita" by Mara Price and illustrated by Lisa Fields. The unit references that the Mayan people were among the first to make hot chocolate, so this story is perfect.
