This bundle is for you.
It includes a variety of experiential learning activities around the theme of wildlife and conservation:
- Project based learning lesson plans (guided and student-led)
- Problem-based learning challenges
- Experimental inquiry
- Community action projects
- Design thinking challenges
- STEM
- Service learning
- BONUS: endangered species project-based learning experience
All of the resources included are designed to:
- Promote 21st-century skill-building (Common Core research standards-aligned) AND
- Growth in content knowledge (NGSS aligned)
Each resource includes a printable AND Google Slides digital version.
The resources are designed to be low-prep. Some experiences require the gathering of materials and activity setup, but detailed teacher instructions are included.
How to use this resource:
- These PBLs are fantastic for high school biology or environmental science classes.
- This bundle is not a unit or a course. You could use it that way, using the resources in this bundle as the curriculum for the course. Or you could pick and choose resources from the bundle as you see fit.
- This bundle also works as a great catalog for independent studies. I like to let my independent study students choose experiences from the bundle that excite or interest them.
- There is a little overlap between resources. For example, all PBLs include the same rubric. That is why this bundle is so significantly discounted.
Important Notes:
- The PDFs are not editable.
- This resource is also not a growing bundle, but I will occasionally add a resource to this bundle if it is a good fit.
Testimonial:
"This was really well organized and challenges the students to work on their time management skills as they work through the projects. They have lots of flexibility and choice in the style of product they create but with lots of help keeping them on track with the guidelines provided. It was really cool to foster the creativity of students in my science class using this structure. Wonderful!" - Science educator 9-11th grade.
