Ways to Make a Number Adding 2 or 3 Numbers

Place Value Strips

For the place value strips students complete the math strip they are given for place value with 2, 3, 4 or 5 digit numbers.

Facts Strips

For the addition, subtraction, multiplication and division strips, students answer the facts.

I Can Count Strips

On the I Can Count strips the teacher suggests how the student is to count. These can be used for counting in 1's, 2's, 5's or even decimal numbers.

Ways to Make a Number Strips

On the Ways to Make a Number strips, the teacher suggest the number they are to add to. This can be simple like adding to 10 or much more complex like adding to 250.

Once the math strip is completed, children color the Halloween friend, if they are using a black and white version and then cut out the strip.

These can then be used to create a Halloween math display!

These math strips are quick and easy to prepare - just print and they are ready to hand out.

DIGITAL TPT EASEL FORMAT

There is also a digital version using TpT’s Easel digital tool. The activities can be assigned in Google Classroom or with a link. You can access the Easel version via your purchases page or via the product listing page. This will give you access to a digital version.

This activity is suggested for first grade, second grade, third grade and fourth grade but it may be suitable for other grades also. Please see the preview to determine if these are suitable for your students.
