Graphic Novel Class Resource Material

All Graphic Novels discussed in this product I have material for at my TpT store.

When I first tried to develop a graphic novel class it took me a long time of researching to figure out how to make it work and I had to create a lot of material for administrators and school board members unfamiliar with Graphic Novels to quickly evaluate and feel confident in what I was trying to do.

Here I'm providing all that material I had to make for free in the hopes it'll help save time for any other teachers out there trying to put together a graphic novel class or incorporate more graphic novels into their classroom but not sure where to start.

It includes 34 pages of resources including:

Graphic Novel Syllabus - A syllabus that I use for my own classroom for you to adapt for your own classroom

Rationales.pdf – a series of pages detailing different graphic novels you might want to use for your classroom (this can also help with convincing admin. of these novels merits).

CC Standards Covered.pdf – A spreadsheet correlating the possible graphic novels in the rationales with the CC Standards I cover with those novels.

Graphic Novel Genres Covered.pdf – A spreadsheet correlating the possible graphic novels in the rationales with the genres they are in, you can use this to ensure you are using a wide variety of Graphic Novel types in your classroom.

Using Marvel Unlimited.pdf – A sheet explaining how to use Marvel Unlimited, which I explain latter on could be a strategy to lessen the expenses of a Graphic Novel class depending on how you’re planning on using it.
