How to use this activity?
Comparing Numbers Adapted Book
- Ally the alligator likes to eat the greater number of fish.
- Students will count the 2 groups of fish
- Then they will look on the right side and select the alligator head whose mouth is pointing toward the bigger number of fish and put it on the rectangle in the middle.
- Then they will write a sentence on the line using a dry erase marker
Key Concepts Visual Reminder
- To serve as a visual reminder, students can look at the key concepts task card to help them remember what the symbols mean.
- > is greater than and < is less than
Worksheet
- Now students will be challenged to use the proper < or > symbols when comparing 2 numbers!
