What educators are saying
Fractions is a hard concept to teach kids with intellectual disabilities and this resource was a tremendous in doing that!
Used this a independent work math centre and students could easily navigate and complete this activity as expected. Recommended!
Description
This product is designed as an introduction to Fractions. It includes 21 picture cards that are either cut in half (making a Fair-Share) or not cut in half. The students will sort the cards onto the appropriate sorting mat. A log sheet is included for the students to indicate if each picture is "half" or "not half". There are two versions depending on how many cards you want to use.
I also included a worksheet for the students to draw a line cutting an object in half.
This product can be used as a whole group lesson modeling fractions, and/or for a Math Station.
Enjoy!
