Who's hungry and ready for adventure?

In this fun room, you will learn about Food Around the World. The Virtual Library is a collection of 20 storybooks full of tasty treats and traditional favorites from various cultures and countries.

This is also a Music/Media Room with 25 selections! There are Food Around the World-themed song &/or informational videos. You will also enjoy 'trips' to ten countries and experience their food, historic landmarks, noteworthy points of interest, and more! For some extra fun, there are several games and quizzes to challenge your knowledge of Food Around the World.

During Distance Learning, I used these resources for quick access during Zoom instruction. My students enjoyed them independently via Seesaw, as well.

We have now returned to modified in-person instruction and as much as I prefer 'real' books in my hands and theirs, various precautions are still in play. I often utilize the virtual library and music/media room format during whole group activities. They provide a budget-friendly collection of thematic resources all organized in one place. Students look forward to their turn to choose for the class and enjoy individual access via tablets in our alternative classroom library.

The home-school connection is so important, so students will continue to have access at home. They provide thematic enrichment, supplemental activities, and opportunities for shared reading with family & friends.
