Engage your students with this fun project! Students work independently or in cooperative groups to plan a Field Day. A variety of math skills are practiced including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, area, measurement conversions, working with money and problem solving. . ELA skills are also integrated as students write descriptive essays and give oral presentations on their proposals. Giving students relevant contexts to apply skills is a meaningful way for students to construct conceptual understanding and see a useful application.
