Description
This set of exercise task cards which includes an editable version are great to use as a warm-up (or for centers) in phys. ed. classes, as a brain break and also as an activity during indoor recess. Cards are included for the following exercise warm-ups: leg stretches, crunches, elbow to knee, leg lifts, leg raises, lunges, planks, squats, jump rope (pretending to do the activity), burpies, arm circles, jumping jacks, toe touches, run in place and "chooser's choice." An editable version is included (in PowerPoint) so you choose how many sets, reps or times an exercise is performed. A blank version for each card style is also included so you can choose additional exercises.
There are several ways to use these cards. The teacher (or a student helper) can pull a card with an exercise on it to add to the daily warm-up, to create a "routine" or to use at a center. Four versions of a worksheet are included and students are asked to cross off an exercise they perform or keep track of how many reps they accomplish (or how long they can perform) an exercise.
The task cards come in two styles (2 sided card deck style) and 1 sided traditional task card style. The images are in color but ink saving options are also included.
