Note: As this unit is very hands on, you will need some additional materials. These materials should all be readily available in a science classroom or easily purchased from the grocery/dollar store. Some examples include:

- Straws

- Plastic Cups

- Rice

This unit perfectly aligns with the *new* Grade 4 and 5 Curriculum in British Columbia (BC), but will work great anywhere! It contains both Canadian and American spellings.
