This Power Point presentation includes 30 short A words and 30 practice sentences. This is a great way to wrap up targeted, explicit instruction on CVC short A words. This is a wonderful addition for small groups during intervention, MTSS, or special education. It is also a fun activity for whole group instruction.
This is a fun, interactive way to get students to sound out one syllable CVC short A words. Students roll dice and choose a word to read from the matching numbered column. Then, the teacher clicks on the word they read and the student now has an opportunity to read the same skill focus word in a sentence. Once the student reads the sentence, click the critter in the top, right corner to return to the original Roll and Read and the completed word will disappear! Please note that some functionality is lost on an iPad or tablet.
