Description

Article of the Day is a perfect way to get students reading, writing, using graphic organizers, and practicing the information you are teaching in class. This pack of articles and stories includes topics based on social studies, world communities, acceptance and empathy, which is SO needed in our world right now!

This bundle includes 20 days of articles and passages, 10 being non-ficiton and 10 being fictional narratives.

Each page includes:
★A passage
★A comprehension by color activity
★A dictionary/vocab activity
★Drawing activity (for fictional passages)
★Main Idea graphic organizer (for non-fiction articles)
★Inferencing activity
★2 comprehension writing questions
★A peer-feedback section

This pack is amazing for centers, as it is totally self-running and needs little guidance from the teacher. You could also use this as morning work or a daily homework page. Expect each page to take 15-25 minutes to complete.

The articles and passages included are EXTREMELY engaging for students and are sure to spark conversation! They also include information that will help you meet social studies standards through the study of world communities. Acceptance and empathy are also woven into each of the pieces.
