Celebrate the Lunar New Year with the reading passage and comprehension question about the Chinese Myth, The Great Race. This myth explains how the Chinese Zodiac Animals were chosen. Students will then color a Chinese New Year mystery image, make their own Chinese Zodiac Wheel, and complete a writing assignment about their Chinese Zodiac animal, based upon the year they were born. Product includes to differentiated versions of the Chinese Myth. The Zodiac Craft Wheel also comes in color and black/white. It is easy to assemble. Students cut out the top and bottom wheels, layer the two, and secure with a brass fastener. While completing the writing assignment, students will learn more about each Chinese Zodiac sign, including the personality traits, lucky numbers, unlucky numbers, lucky colors, and unlucky colors for each sign.
