Character Trait Flipchart

Are your students struggling to identify character traits? Can they tell the difference between physical traits, character traits, and emotions? This flipchart is a great teaching tool to help them master this important skill! it contains both teaching slides and practice slides.

Teaching Slides

Practice Slides

• Drag and Drop slide to move words to the proper column (is it a physical trait, character trait, or emotion?)
• Physical Traits Practice: This slide allows you to use any book to identify physical traits. Includes a spot for the character, the trait, and the evidence from the text.
• Character Traits Practice: This slide allows you to use any book to identify character traits. Includes a spot for the character, the trait, and the evidence from the text.
• Emotions Practice: This slide allows you to use any book to identify emotions. Includes a spot for the character, the emotion, and the evidence from the text.

The last three practice slides are designed for you to write in the information (using the Smartboard tools). Since these slides aren't story-specific, you can reuse them with a variety of stories!
