Are you looking for a hands on activity on COMPOSING NUMBERS for special education? This activity comes with 24 different task cards that focus on composing numbers from 1-200 using standard notation, expanded form, base ten blocks, word form and with Canadian coins. This activity is ideal for the Grade 2 Number Sense: Whole Numbers Unit, especially for students on modified programming or special education.
PREP & HOW TO USE
- Print (I suggest 2-4 slides per page so it is task card size)
- Cut each task card
- Laminate so it can be reused year after year!
- Student looks at the images or numbers and puts a clothes peg on the number that is being represented ex) 100 + 30 + 6 = 136
- Store the cards in a ziploc bag or keyring
