Learning to Budget
To maintain good personal financial health, it is important for adults to learn how to create and maintain a budget. These materials focus on building essential budgeting knowledge and skills that students need. The materials are self-guided and easy for students to follow; they are also supported with a PowerPoint presentation that coincide with the reading materials.
Objectives: Students will be able to:
• Define budget and other key terms related to budgeting.
• Explain why it is important to have a budget.
• Identify five benefits of budgeting.
• Describe how a successful budget is created and maintained.
