Looking for classroom birthday ideas? This BIRTHDAY themed Send Home Science Kit was made specifically to be a gift you can give to students in your classroom. They also make great science party favors, too! These unique kits are easy to make and use inexpensive materials to put them together. (see below)
Young scientists will bubble with excitement when their birthday rolls around. These fun kits have a printable experiment booklet with a material list and step-by-step directions for 7 science experiences. There is also a printable science journal you can include in your kits.
Prepping the Kits:
The materials needed for these kits are very inexpensive to buy and are readily available. They are put together using gallon or quart-size zip-top baggies.
This file contains a complete shopping list and assembly instructions. As a bonus, this file contains bag toppers in both color and blackline. There is also an optional "quick and easy" label that you can just print and put in the bag in lieu of a folded topper.
Suggested items to put in the kit:
cotton string, paper clips, a small baggie of rock salt, a napkin, balloons, a pack of Pop Rocks (or generic) popping candy, and bamboo skewers
Once assembled, these kits will allow students to have fun with seven “tried and true” science experiments that require very little prep and just a few supplies from home.
**Please note: These are ALL NEW experiments, are different than our other Send Home Science Kits, and are all birthday themed.
Running out of time? Make it a party activity! Set the supplies up as a station and have your students/ party-goers stuff their own bags to take home! They will LOVE filling their own science kits, and you will be the greatest teacher- EVER!
