What educators are saying
Description
This is a potty training social story focusing on bowel training. It is intended for a newly trained boy who is still learning the sequence of skills when going #2 on the potty. The story teaches independence with this skill: run to potty, sit and release, wait for assistance with wiping. It also reinforces pro-social behavior related to having a bowel movement: keep hands out of diaper/pants, no touching poop, no feces smearing. It should be read each day with the child. The parent/caregiver should read it in a story time format (just like any other picture book). It should be done in a relaxed setting and tone where the child is encouraged to read along and ask/answer questions. The adult should read the story in a manner that is fun, silly, and positive!
