What educators are saying
These have been great to use for my classroom. They are a great review for all of my grades. I have the students complete one section a day during the week for 10 minutes. I will continue to keep using these in my classroom.
I love this bellwork! It has all the skills the students need to remember to be successful in 8th grade math.
Description
Middle school math bell ringers / bellwork / practice exercises. Suitable for grades 5 - 8 including pre-algebra. (If you teach Algebra 1, check out our Algebra 1 bell ringers here.)
Included are 150 practice exercises (15 sets of 10 each). This should be enough to last an entire year.
Topics include (but are not limited to) arithmetic, fractions, decimals, rounding, making change, prime numbers, integers, and equations.
Each exercise should only take 3-5 to complete and should be able to be completed with no (or very limited) instruction from the teacher.
So many students struggle with basic math skills, and that lack of skills causes real problems as they move into pre-algebra and higher math. These practice exercises will help your students improve in basic skills without taking hardly any time from your class.
Use these exercises at the start of class. Your students should be able to do them with little or no instruction from you, leaving you time to take attendance, speak with students, or deal with other administrative tasks.
Not sure? Download the preview for a free set that you can try with your class.
