Description
Your students will love playing this colorful and informative game of BINGO featuring well known people from black history. It makes a great introduction to the subject and a welcome fun break in the classroom. Included are 24 vocabulary calling cards and 30 unique bingo game boards.
The calling cards have a picture of the historical figure as well as the dates they lived and a brief biographical description. You could call the game either by reading off the name or by reading off the description (which makes the game more challenging).
We recommend that you laminate the boards and cards so that you can use them over and over. Equip your independent learning center with this game and kids will have something that is sure to quietly entertain them as they are learning. Bingo can be played with as few as two players and it is a game that is quickly understood by all ages.
The cards just by themselves also make an engaging learning resource. Print them twice and you are set to play a memory game.
The people covered are: Benjamin Banneker, Bessie Coleman, Bill Pickett, Billie Holiday, Booker T Washington, Edna Lewis, Frederick Douglass, George W Carver, Harriet Tubman, Jackie Robinson, Jesse Owens, Langston Hughes, Marcus Garvey, Marian Anderson, Martin Luther King Jr, Michael Jordan, Phillis Wheatley, Rosa Parks, Ruby Bridges, Sarah E Goode, Sojourner Truth, Thurgood Marshall, Tuskegee Airmen, and Wilma Rudolph.
