Looking for a new way for students to tell a story about themselves? Your students will learn how totem poles were used by Native Americans to tell stories using symbols. Students will create a Totem Pole using symbols that best represent them.

This is a great project for Back to School, morning meetings, Native American studies, Indigenous Peoples' Day, or Native American Heritage Month! Students can follow-up and present their totem poles in a verbal presentation or writing assignment - such a fun sharing activity!
