Description
Finally there are activities to help ASL students practice facial expressions and emotions. We all know that students have a very difficult time using accurate facial expressions while creating a sign. These six activities will help improve your students understanding of the importance of expressions for clear communication while improving their overall ASL skills.
This poacket is great for ASL students, Deaf and hard of hearing students (DHH), and students with differing abilities such as Autism.
The activities in this packet are:
- Matching emotions: Students will match the image of the ASL sign with the accurate facial expression.
- Show an expression: Students will use images of varying facial expressions to mimic the expression and provide a word.
- Take a picture: students will create their own facial expression chart.
- Create a face: Students use the template to create an emotion facial expression.
- Match the emotion: Students use the image of the sign and match it to the accurate cactus emotion.
- Coin toss game: Students use a coin to practice vocabulary.
