    Egyptian Sarcophagus Articles and Craftivity

I made this activity for students for two reasons; to get my kids reading, while at the same time helping them understand King Tut.

    This packet includes three articles:
    *Who was King Tut?
    *How did Tut die?
    *Howard Carter: Discovering Tut's Tomb.

Students are asked to read these articles while using colored pencils or crayons to mark up the text to demonstrate understanding.

Also included is a King Tut booklet where students will record the information they learned in the articles. I call this a craftivity, as students need to place information inside, while also coloring and cutting. This makes a great decoration for the hallway!

    Egypt Flip Book

Third grade students are learning about countries around the World. This fun, engaging, and interactive activity asks students to create an EASY flip book as they learn about the country of Egypt.

We are making this flip book over the course of the time we learn about Egypt.

I tried to include a balanced amount of information on the Ancient Egypt, as well as modern day Egypt. Kids think it’s super exciting to learn about Ancient Egypt, but I wanted my students to see how some traditions are very similar to other countries. The second page of this Flip Book gives students directions on how to use colored pencils or crayons to help comprehend what they are reading. I hope your kiddos enjoy!

The pages included in the book include:
*Map of Egypt: Where in the World?
    *Flag of Egypt
    *Food of Egypt
    *Celebrations in Egypt
    *Places to Visit in Egypt
    *King Tut and the Afterlife
