Description

These activities are meant to help you integrate technology into your curriculum using Chromebooks and QR Codes. Your Chromebooks do need a microphone attached in order to make these projects work for you.

If your Chromebooks do not have mics, you can purchase USB mics to plug into your devices.

I would also suggest using the following extensions. I am telling you in this posting just in case you need to request access from your tech department.

  • Simple Audio Recorder- I believe this is the easiest recording extension to use with students. You simply click the extension to begin recording and click it again to stop recording. This automatically saves to the device. You can then drag this into your Google Drive to share out.
  • Students can also install the Google Docs app called “QR Code Generator.” This can be added by going into Google Drive, two-finger clicking a document and then clicking “Open With.” After clicking here, students can click on “Connect more apps.” Search “QR Code Generator” and add this. This will allow students to create their own QR codes. I would highly suggest doing this in small groups so you can show students how to complete this task. It’s a little challenging, but once it’s done, the students will never need to do this again!

The projects included are step-by-step and include everything you need to get started. Here are the projects:

  1. Create audio books using QR Codes.
  2. QR Code All About Me Monsters
  3. QR Code Read-Along
  4. Early Finisher QR Codes
  5. QR Code Book Reviews

Again, included in this pack are step-by-step instruction son how to integrate QR codes into your classroom. Be sure you can add extensions and apps before purchasing. :)

Thanks!
