Description

Are your 2nd grade students struggling to use proper grammar? These daily oral language sentence editing worksheets in a spiral review format help students master skills taught. Perfect to start during Back to School as morning work.

But not any type of spiral review will do the job. This resource starts off with one skill on the first week and builds upon it each following week.

Skills are introduced one at a time while previously taught skilled are incorporated throughout the future editing tasks.

STUDENT Benefits:

  1. Students are not overwhelmed since only ONE skill is introduced each week.
  2. Students gain confidence as they are able to remember and explain the editing they've done.
  3. The continuous spiraling of skills keeps them fresh in their minds.
  4. Students transfer what they are implementing through this resource into their own writing.

TEACHER Benefits:

  1. Prep is easy. Just print each page weekly or create quarterly or a yearly packet.
  2. The Table of Contents includes ALL the standards covered throughout the entire year, so your PACING GUIDE IS DONE FOR YOU.
  3. Watching students grow in confidence and wanting to share out their answers gives YOU confidence that students are grasping the skills you've taught.
  4. Less editing on students work as they are able to transfer the skills they've learned onto their own writing.

Ways to SET UP this resource:

  1. Give students a new page at the start of each week.
  2. All the pages may be copied at once and made into a packet for the year. (Cover page is included)
